Bruce Dickson (and his stance on purity) is still having an impact on the web and beyond.
An MSNBC article by author Dawn Eden titled, “Thrill of the chaste:In defense of sexless dating” argues against today’s ‘Sex and the City’ lifestyle and discusses her book. In the article she mentions Bruce and his American Idol audition. From that article,
I had just finished a lecture based on my book “The Thrill of the Chaste: Finding Fulfillment While Keeping Your Clothes On,” in which I lamented how modern society ridicules virginity.

Opening Act is an American Idol style competition that has had listeners voting to decide who the final two contestants in WIBI’s Opening Act. On Friday, March 21, WIBI will announce who will be the one to open for SonicFlood and Mark Roach at the concert. (Note: Bruce is not competing in Opening Act, he will be appearing no matter who wins the competition.)

Also this year the Spirit of Rosanky will be crowning the first ever Spirit of Rosanky Jubilee Queen and Princess. Bruce has agreed to come sing during the intermission of the pageant! More details are to come about the time and place, but the date will be June 27th.
Bruce attends Royal Ball honoring purity
It may not be the type of royalty that you most likely first think of, but Bruce Dickson had the privileged of giving his testimony and performing his single, “One Key” to 23 very special princesses at the “Royal Ball” held at Hays Hills Baptist Church on March 1. These princesses made a decision to save their first kiss for marriage. The girls, ranging in ages 8-11, were part of a ceremony and went up to the front one by one as the parents presented them with a promise or purity necklace and a tiara. The parents also read encouraging words and scriptural support for their daughters. Bruce then spoke for about 20 minutes and sang “One Key”. Following the song the girls had a dance with their fathers. Just goes to show that there are people out there that are doing things a little different and talking to their children about saving their first kiss.
